Nigeria is grappling with a deepening youth unemployment crisis, fueled by a mismatch between the skills young people acquire in schools and those demanded by the labor market. Analysts emphasize the importance of reforming school curricula to reflect market realities, investing in vocational training, and fostering public-private partnerships. These steps are seen as vital to turning Nigeria’s demographic advantage into economic growth rather than a social burden.
