Babcock University Expels Student Over Alleged Involvement in Fetish Acts and Drug Peddling

Authorities at Babcock University have confirmed the expulsion of a student following allegations of engaging in fetish practices and drug peddling a move the institution says aligns with its strict zero-tolerance policy on misconduct and criminal activity.

In a statement released by the university’s management this week, the student whose identity has not been disclosed for legal and privacy reasons was found culpable after an internal disciplinary review was conducted in line with the school’s code of conduct.

“As a faith-based institution, Babcock University remains committed to upholding the highest moral, ethical, and academic standards. Actions that contravene these values, including engagement in occultic or criminal activities, will not be tolerated,” the statement read.

Investigation and Immediate Action

Sources within the university disclosed that the student was found in possession of materials and substances linked to both cult-like rituals and illicit drug distribution. Following tips from concerned students and staff, security operatives carried out an investigation, leading to the discovery of evidence that reportedly confirmed the violations.

The university emphasized that it worked in collaboration with relevant authorities to ensure due process was followed, including informing law enforcement agencies where necessary.

Maintaining a Safe Academic Environment

The incident has sparked fresh debate about campus security and student behavior, particularly at private institutions known for strict adherence to discipline. Babcock University, affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church, has long maintained a reputation for promoting Christian values and a controlled learning environment.

“Every student is made aware upon admission that the institution does not condone cultism, drug use, or any form of deviant behavior,” a university official told this reporter on condition of anonymity. “This action is a clear statement that we will protect the integrity of our academic community at all costs.”

Students React

Reactions among the student body have been mixed, with some expressing shock at the revelations and others commending the school’s swift response.

“It’s sad to hear, but I think the school did the right thing. No one should be involved in anything like that, especially here,” said a final-year student who requested anonymity.

Ongoing Awareness Campaigns

In response to the case, the university has announced plans to intensify its student orientation programs and increase awareness around the dangers of substance abuse and peer pressure. Counseling and faith-based support services are also being reinforced to help students navigate challenges within and outside campus life.
