Anchor University Set for Combined Convocation on January 10, 2025

Anchor University, Ayobo, Lagos, is preparing for a week of exciting activities to mark its combined 4th and 5th convocation ceremonies, scheduled for Friday, January 10, 2025, on the university’s campus.

The Registrar, Pastor Moses Salami, confirmed that the event will provide a special opportunity to celebrate the institution’s graduates, who will be honored as ‘Peculiar Pearls’.

A week-long celebration will begin with a press conference on Monday, January 6, 2025. This will be followed by a novelty match on Wednesday, January 8, at 4 p.m.

Pastor Salami also highlighted a convocation lecture titled, ‘Education, Entrepreneurship and Empowerment: Breaking the Cycle of Youth Unemployment and Japa Syndrome’, to be delivered by Professor Charles Okechukwu Esimone, former Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University.

Additional events include a musical and variety night, a Vice-Chancellor’s luncheon, and a special convocation service on Sunday, January 9. The main convocation ceremony, where first degrees and prizes will be awarded, will take place on January 10.

Salami urged all graduating students to complete their necessary formalities, including settling any outstanding financial obligations, in order to participate in the celebrations.
