With the theme “Wings Unclipped: Is There Hope for the Next Generation?”, the event attracted leaders from the aviation industry, aspiring young professionals, and a diverse audience dedicated to fostering societal progress.
Ololade Adenekan, convener of the event, opened the conference by highlighting the importance of youth in shaping the future. “Youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow; they are the driving force today,” she stated, setting the tone for a day of engaging discussions.
In his keynote speech, Chukwuerika Achums, CEO of Viva Jets, emphasized the need for innovative thinking and mentorship in aviation. Reflecting on his own career, Achums encouraged young people to embrace challenges and remain resilient in their pursuits.
The conference also featured a panel discussion with industry leaders who explored the challenges young people face in entering the aviation sector. Key topics included education, skill development, and the importance of mentorship. Interactive exhibitions showcased the latest aviation technologies and career opportunities, while the 4th Miss Aviation Nigeria competition highlighted young women excelling in the sector.
