Abuja – Rep. Abubakar Bichi, the Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations and representative for Bichi Federal Constituency, was awarded an honorary Doctorate degree by the Federal University, Dutsin-Ma, in Katsina State. The award, presented over the weekend, recognizes Bichi’s significant contributions to the university and his ongoing efforts in supporting educational and infrastructural development in his constituency.
Rep. Bichi has been instrumental in funding various infrastructure projects at the university and providing scholarships for students from his constituency over the past five years. His dedication to enhancing education, youth empowerment, and community development has had a lasting impact on the local community.
In a statement shared on Monday, Rep. Dan Amos, Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on House Services, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Rep. Bichi on his well-deserved recognition. Amos, who represents the Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency of Kaduna State, commended Bichi for his tireless efforts in promoting good governance, transparency, and national development.

In addition to Rep. Bichi, several other prominent Nigerians were honored by the Federal University Dutsin-Ma during the ceremony, including Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu; Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio; and the former Governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu Wamako, who currently serves as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Security.
