Abuja, Nigeria — Capital City University Kano has officially secured a full licence to operate as a private university in Nigeria, according to Rakiya Dangado, the university’s registrar. This announcement was made in a statement on Thursday.
The full licence was granted following a favourable assessment by the National Universities Commission (NUC) visitation panel, which evaluated the university’s facilities and operational procedures. Previously, the institution had been operating under a provisional certificate since its establishment in 2021.
Mrs. Dangado credited this achievement to the collective efforts of the university’s governing council, management, and staff, emphasizing their commitment to excellence. She stated, “The university aims to transform education in Kano, Nigeria, and globally by continually enhancing its infrastructure to meet the evolving tertiary educational needs of society.”
