DJ Cuppy Launches ‘Cuppy Fund’ to Support African Students at NYU

Florence Otedola, widely known as DJ Cuppy, has recently launched a new scholarship program called the ‘Cuppy Fund’ to support African students studying at New York University (NYU). Announced on Instagram, the initiative aims to provide financial assistance to help alleviate the burden of educational costs for these students.

DJ Cuppy, who graduated from King’s College London with a degree in Business and Economics in 2014, holds a master’s degree in Music Business from NYU, where she also completed her studies in 2015. Additionally, she pursued African Studies at the University of Oxford, graduating in 2022, and recently completed her fourth degree at the London School of Economics.

Her philanthropic efforts include founding the Cuppy Foundation in July 2018, which raised over N5 billion for the “Save the Children initiative” in Nigeria in November 2019. In 2021, Cuppy was recognized as an ambassador for the Lagos SDGs Youth Alliance, highlighting her continued commitment to social causes.

The Cuppy Fund marks a significant step in her ongoing dedication to supporting education and empowering students across Africa.
