Following the conclusion of the May/June WAEC school exams, the eagerly awaited question, “Is WAEC result 2023 out?” has been answered affirmatively. The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) results, as confirmed by Mr. Patrick Areghan, the Head of WAEC’s Nigeria Office.
Out of the 1,613,733 candidates who participated in the examination, Mr. Areghan reported that the results of 262,803 candidates are currently being withheld due to reported cases of examination malpractice.
Providing further details, Mr. Areghan stated that 1,361,608 candidates, representing 84.38%, achieved credit and above in a minimum of any five subjects, with or without English Language and/or Mathematics. Additionally, 1,287,920 candidates, constituting 79.81%, obtained credits and above in a minimum of five subjects, including both English Language and Mathematics.
